Irish and Folk Monday: Carols and Old Songs

Join us at the Honey Moon the Monday before Christmas, as I sing old carols and wintry songs. I did a Christmas show two years ago, but was out of the country last year, so I'm excited to do it again! We'll hear how the traditions of Britain and Ireland celebrate their winter holidays in a few different ways, mixed in with other songs that I feel are appropriate to these darkest days of the year. I'll accompany them on guitar, on piano, even on the electric harmonium! There might even be a banjo present...unless that makes you *less* likely to come, in which case there won't be.

If you're needing some music for reflection, music for stillness, music for warmth, or mead, cake, and banter between these musicks that's less witty than I think it is, this will be the place for you to be next Monday the 19th!

No cover is charged, but a $5 donation is suggested for the show. The Honeymoon offers many yummy drinks and eats, so avail yourself of them and consider that a donation, as well, for your piece of real estate in Bellingham's finest and sweetest intimate venue! As the carol very nearly says, "Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat; please put a penny in the [song] man's hat! If you have no penny, a haypenny will do; If you have no haypenny, then God bless you!"
