Rita Ruby's strong and melodic voice will take you on a journey across American back roads to an Appalachian front porch, a roadhouse music hall, or the front pew of a country church. Rita sings a repertoire of classic country (Carter family to Louvin brothers, Emmylou Harris, and more), bluegrass, gospel, as well as originals of her own. She has been a singer since the age of two, when her grandfather first stood her on a piano bench at the baptist church where he preached. Rita performs and also teaches singing at her home base in Chicago, as well as at national and international music events.
